This past week I received the Herbal Essences VoxBox from Influenster and I wanted to share a sneak peek at what was inside.
I was in awe when I saw what was inside. THREE full-size Herbal Essences products to try which included the Herbal Essences Body Envy Shampoo, Conditioner, and Mousse.
I have already been testing these products and I cannot wait to write up a full review for you guys!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone!
This is the first St. Patrick’s Day that my husband and I have celebrated with Emma where she actually fully understands what is going on. It is such a wonderful feeling. To celebrate, I woke up and whipped up a batch of green whole wheat pancakes for breakfast (Emma’s current favorite food). This recipe has become highly requested in our household, so I decided it would be nice to share.
Regular green food coloring will do the job just fine, but I do wish I had some green gel food coloring on hand when I made these. The green would have been much more vibrant.
Before I get to the review, I want to give a quick shout-out to all of my subscribers, old and new. Thank you! I’ve had a good amount of people subscribe to me recently and it really means a lot! I hope you guys enjoy what I have to offer here at Makeup n’ Munchies.
I wish I could dedicate more time to my blog, but with a toddler, school, internship, husband, business, etc. it’s quite difficult to keep up — but I do have a lot of products I’ve been testing as well as recipes I need to share with you all, and I’m hoping I can start being more proactive here.
While I was on a quick trip to Walmart for a razor, I stumbled upon the new Venus Swirl Razor. I had my go-to razor in hand when a display suddenly came to life. It was lit up pretty bright and had a demo of how the razor moves with the curves of your body. Next thing I knew, I found myself reaching for the new razor — and I’m so happy I did!
I’m a sucker for Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish. I always try to pick up new colors every chance I get. I recently made a trip to Walmart and picked up three new polishes. The polish pictured above is called “Tempest,” and this photo really doesn’t do it justice. It’s gorgeous!
A few months ago I was introduced to Thirty-One. I’m not a consultant, but I have a friend who is one. She invited me to a few online parties and I started learning about their products. I immediately fell in-love.
I have an obsession. Purses. 5 years ago my husband bought me my first Coach purse, but only because I agreed to donate my entire purse collection. This was a very difficult thing for me because I loved each and every one very much. After 5 years with my beautiful Coach purse, I finally caved and bought myself a Thirty-One purse. That poor purse has been through a lot — I’ve had people spill beer on it on a few occasions, it’s been to the Bahamas and Curacao, etc.
I wasn’t sure what to think when I first made my Thirty-One purchase. It’s very different from making a normal purchase online. I’m very happy with my purchase/products, but there are some cons I think others who haven’t purchased from a Thirty-One consultant before should know.
Con #1 — You don’t receive a confirmation upon placing your order.
Con #2 — Your order/card isn’t processed until a party is closed out. You will see a 0.01 cent charge as a hold on your account until it’s fully processed.
Con #3 — Once the party closes, you don’t receive confirmation your order is processed. You’ll only know if you check your bank account on a daily basis.
Con #4 — Once your account is charged, you don’t receive shipping info. I had to ask my friend and she provided me with the information.
Taking a quick break from studying so I can finally get this post up. For Valentine’s Day, I made brownie truffles for my two Valentine’s. They were absolutely delicious, so I’ve decided to share this with you.
Normally, I would make everything from scratch. I got lazy for these brownie truffles and used boxed brownie mix. Sometimes it’s nice to be lazy.

P.S. I’ve been working on a blog post, but I haven’t been able to get it up just yet. My daughter has an ear infection AGAIN. . . and I’m having to monitor her to make sure she doesn’t have the flu. All of the children and instructors in her class at day care have been passing it around to each other :/ This is also a busy week for me at school, but I’m hoping to have a new post up this weekend!

I was so in-love with the NYC Expert Last Lip Color that I received from Influenster to test and review that I went and picked up a new shade to try. This is Air Kiss. Isn’t it gorgeous? This is my favorite lipstick of the moment!
I love it so much, I picked up a second one to share with one of my lucky followers. Keep an eye out this weekend. I’m going to try to post my giveaway 🙂

I’ve decided I’m going to start something new. I own a Kindle Fire and am an avid reader. I download a lot of free books from the Amazon Marketplace and read at least 3 books per month. Each month (if I can remember) I’m going to start posting my favorite books from that month — and since we’re nearing the end of July, I thought I’d start with my July book recommendations!
1. Reunion (A Supernatural Thriller) by Jeff Bennington // If you like a little bit of a mystery and are a fan of the supernatural, you’ll really enjoy this book! In short, a student goes on a shooting spree at his high school, killing and injury students (he also kills himself). Twenty years later, some of the students that were involved in the incident, come together for their 20-year reunion… but, can they survive the reunion?
