Salon Perfect nail polish in “Haute Pink” — Review.

I love nail polish. I try to make a trip down the nail polish aisle any time I go to the store. I’ve seen Salon Perfect on many occasions, but I never could get myself to make a purchase. Last week I gave in and picked up one bottle of Salon Perfect nail polish in “Haute Pink.”

I don’t know about you, but it looks more like a bright orange rather than a pink. Either way, I fell in-love with the color and HAD to buy it. It wasn’t badly priced either… only $3.98/each at Walmart.

When I got home I decided to give myself a manicure and a pedicure. Anytime I paint my nails, I make sure to clean my nails thoroughly — remove all nail polish, oils, dirt, etc. I also push bake my cuticles with an orange stick, which helps to promote nail growth. Once my nails are clean, I apply a base coat of nail polish. My current favorite is a Ulta brand base coat. I allowed my base coat to dry for 5 minutes before I began applying my Salon Perfect polish. I had to apply 2-3 coats on most nails because the nail polish was streaky. The only plus side to this polish is it dries quickly. After about 10 minutes, the polish was completely dry. I then applied a clear top coat (Sinful Colors).

Pretty, right?

Sadly, my manicure and pedicure didn’t last 2 full days :/ It was almost completely chipped off by day 2. Based off of this experience and this experience alone, I can’t recommend this polish to anyone. You’re better off taking the $4 you’d spend on a bottle of Salon Perfect nail polish and buying 2 bottles of Sinful Colors polish instead.

Has anyone else tried Salon Perfect nail polish? If so, what was your experience with it? Good? Bad?

I hope you all have a lovely weekend! I have a lot to blog about and am going to try to do some catching up this weekend 🙂

  1. i had the exact same experience! i had never purchased salon perfect before, but after it chipped the very next day, i don’t think i will be buying it again! such a bummer.

    1. It’s nice to hear that I’m not the only one that’s had problems with it. I was wondering if maybe it was the formula of the color I chose, but after reading some more reviews on blogs/websites, it seems like everyone says it’s pretty awful. Definitely a bummer because they have some beautiful colors!
