A few weeks ago I was out shopping at Walmart with my mom and I came across some new colors by Essie and I fell in love with “Butler Please” (pictured above) and I HAD to get it. I don’t normally buy blue nail polish but I fell in love with this color immediately. I ended up getting Sinful Color’s “Hottie” to top it off, followed by a clear coat. Being a new mommy rarely leaves me with any “me” time, so I was happy when I was able to get my nails painted while Emma napped. Butler Please is now one of my favorite nail polishes in my growing collection. And being the OKC Thunder fan that I am, I decided to call the combination of polishes “Thunder Blue” lol. I thought it was appropriate since we were in the playoffs when I bought this color. And here’s the finished product..

I’m a California girl, born and raised, and when my husband and I moved to Oklahoma 4 years ago, I had to start using a clinical strength deodorant because my body did not do well with the crazy humidity this state brings. I tried a few different brands and I finally stuck with Secret because it seemed to work the best for me, so you can imagine why I was excited to receive Secret’s new Clinical Stress Sweat Deodorant as a part of my VoxBox from Influenster. There’s no difference compared to the rest of the Secret Clinical Deodorants, other than the scent (serene citrus), which I absolutely loved. The deodorant goes on smooth, just make sure you let the deodorant dry before you put a shirt on OR put it on after you’re dressed because you’ll wind up with white streaks all over. With regular deodorant I always found myself having to re-apply it throughout the day, but with Secret’s Clinical Stress Sweat deodorant, you only need to apply it once and you’re set for the entire day. This is definitely going to be my go-to deodorant from now on. Thanks Secret!
As a part of my VoxBox from Influenster, I received a Skinnygirl Daily On-The-Go Bar in Coco-Nut with Peanut Butter. This was my first time trying a Skinnygirl product and I really enjoyed it. I was very excited about the flavor of the bar because it combined two of my favorite things; coconut and peanut butter. You could distinctly taste the piece of coconut in the bar and the peanut butter really brought it all together. The bar was very moist and chewy, not hard like a lot of other granola bars I’ve tried. Skinnygirl Daily On-The-Go Bars really are great for when you’re in a rush and they only have 180 calories per bar, making it a healthier go to snack. I think these are going to be my new go to snack when I’m able to start working out again to lose this baby weight!
I have very wavy hair and I typically straighten or curl it because of this. On days that I just don’t have the time to do that, I scrunch my hair with a little mousse and hairspray. Once my hair is scrunched and starts to dry, the mousse and hairspray leaves my hair looking hard and slightly greasy. Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray allows you to scrunch your hair without the hard, greasy look. You spritz a little of the spray on to slightly damp or dry hair and let it dry naturally or with the help of a hair dryer and diffuser and you end up with nice beach waves. I always go the air drying route and my hair turns out perfect. On March 6th I spent 3 days in the hospital after undergoing a c-section and this was my go to hair product. When I packed my hospital bag I planned on bringing my hair dryer and straightener for the days I was ready to have visitors, but I ended up leaving those at home and only bringing a brush and Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray. Now that I’ve tried this product, I look forward to trying more products from Not Your Mother’s!
A couple of weeks ago I received the FreshEffects #OlayGetFresh cleansing system complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I really wish that I could have reviewed this product sooner, but it’s been very hard with a 17 day old newborn at home.
Let me start off by saying I love this cleansing system! I have always had an oily t-zone, making it hard for me to find products that worked well with my skin type. While I was pregnant, this problem became significantly worse. I began using this product about 4 weeks ago (while still pregnant) and began noticing a difference within days. I am now 17 days post pregnancy and my skin is the clearest it’s been in a year. The brush that comes with the cleansing system is very different from any product that I have seen or tried and it was surprisingly very gentle. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone! Especially those of you with similar skin types as myself.
Welcome to my blog. Here you will find reviews on products ranging from makeup, fashion, food, and much more! I recently became a member of Influenster.com and received my first VoxBox with complimentary products to test and write reviews on, which I will be doing here as well as Facebook.
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Karissa and I have the best job in the world 🙂 I’m a stay at home wife and mom to our brand new baby girl Emma. Some things I love are hair, makeup, reading, music, and movies.
