Jamba At Home Smoothies Review.

Here’s another complimentary product I received in the Surf’sUp VoxBox from Influenster for testing purposes.

The Jamba At Home Smoothie Kit in Caribbean Passion. There are other flavors/mixes available, this is just what sounded good to me at the time. You simply pour the contents into your blender, add a cup of apple juice, and blend. Simple, right? You can then split the smoothie into two 8oz glasses like it recommends.. OR, you can enjoy the entire thing like I did. Okay well, I lied.. I shared with my 16-month-old 🙂

The smoothie was excellent! Smooth, sweet, and refreshing. I really loved the simplicity of these kits. But, there are a few downsides (for me at least) that would make me refrain from purchasing these again.

1 — You can’t control your sugar intake. These smoothie kits include added sugar in them. I drink a smoothie for breakfast almost every day and I personally would rather buy fresh or frozen all natural or organic fruit so I can cut back on the sugar. The natural sweetness from the fruit is enough for me. You also are required to add juice, which = more sugar.

2 — The price. The kits run anywhere from $2.99-$3.49, and to only be able to get 1 large or 2 small smoothies out of the kit is a bit ridiculous, in my opinion. But, I understand you’re paying for the name brand, packaging, ink, etc.

While the smoothie tasted amazing and was simple to make, I will not purchase these in the near future. Just because these kits don’t fit my lifestyle, doesn’t mean they’re wrong for everyone. Give them a try! They’re great for those of you who like quick, simple, and don’t mind a little extra sugar in your diet.
