e.l.f. studio Eyebrow Kit Review.

While on one of my many trips to Ulta, I decided to have one of the Benefit girls wax my brows for me. It was my birthday at the time and for those of you that don’t already know this, Ulta will wax your brows complimentary on your birthday. Who can say no to a free brow wax? Not only did the girl do a nice job, I loved the product she used to fill in my brows after. I ended up leaving with a $30 Benefit eyebrow kit that looked amazing when she applied it on me in store and horrible when I applied it at home. I used the kit a handful of times before I finally threw it aside because it was making me look like Bozo the Clown.

If I didn’t have a funky right eyebrow, I wouldn’t even bother filling in my brows. Since trying the Benefit kit, I’ve tried different eyebrow pencils as well as eyeshadows — I didn’t fall in-love with any of them.

A few months ago I had a couple of my friends recommend I try the e.l.f. studio Eyebrow Kit. The kit only costs $3. How could I say no?

I’m going to go ahead and apologize now for all of the different tag on my photos. I bought this kit before I changed up my blog, Instagram, and Twitter.

The kit includes a brown wax, brown powder, and an applicator brush. I honestly tossed the brush that came with my kit. I feel that it’s too small and actually makes the job more difficult. Instead, I used an angled makeup brush I had on hand.

Application is easy. Apply the wax to your brows first. I start by outlining them and slowly filling them in. Next? Apply the powder on top of the wax. A little powder goes a long way. Keep that in mind!

Here’s the end result. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to apply, great quality.
Cons: Applicator brush. This is typical with any makeup you buy though, so it’s not too much of a disappointment for me. I’d rather use my own brushes anyways.

Here’s a side by side so you can compare without scrolling.

e.l.f. studio has been a long time favorite of mine. I use their lip glosses and Makeup Mist & Set all the time and I look forward to trying out more of their products in the future! 🙂

Enjoy!
