Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover — #FrostyVoxBox

After being extremely sick for the past 2 weeks (flu and strep + a toddler with a double ear infection), I’m finally feeling well enough to return to writing posts. I have a lot of catching up to do!

One of my favorite products that was included in the Frosty VoxBox is the new Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover.

Rimmel1

I’m going to be honest. I’ve only tried a handful of makeup removers in my life. I usually use baby wipes because I feel like they remove makeup easier. The only down side to baby wipes is the icky smell that is left on your face after removing your makeup. My face always feels greasy after too.

This is the first makeup remover that I’ve used and actually loved. The name implies that its sole purpose is for removing eye makeup, but I have to disagree. I’ve been using it to remove all of my makeup and it works fantastic!

NYC Expert Last Lip Color Review — #FrostyVoxBox

If you’re looking for a new beauty product to try in 2015, I highly recommend the NEW NYC Expert Last Lip Color. I received a complimentary lip color in Sugar Plum from Influenster for testing purposes and I’m so in-love with it!

Most of the lip colors I’ve tried in the past have been very drying on my lips. I’ll use the lip color once or twice and then it’s left sitting in one of my many drawers of makeup. That was NOT the case with NYC Expert Last Lip Color. I received my VoxBox right before Christmas and I think that Sugar Plum was the perfect shade to send out for the holidays/winter. I can’t wait to try some of the other shades that are available.

Pictures don’t do this beautiful lip color justice. Sugar Plum reminds me of a mixture of brown, orange, and a slight hint of red all put into one lip color.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Review — #FrostyVoxBox

Rimmel01

I’m a big fan of Rimmel products. I’ve been lucky enough to receive many complimentary Rimmel products from Influenster for testing purposes. The above picture is of the new Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner.

The only time I ever purchase eyeliner pencil is if I need it for my waterline. For some reason, I cannot apply eyeliner pencil to my lash line. I feel like it looks horrible and chunky. I’d much rather use my go-to liquid eyeliner. I can get more precision and I can make as thick or as thin as I want.

McCormick All Natural Thyme Review + Recipe — #FrostyVoxBox

One of my favorite spices is thyme. It’s great for seasoning pasta sauces, soups, stews, and roasted meats and poultry. Use your imagination! I was very excited when I opened my Frosty VoxBox from Influenster and saw that I received a full-size bottle of McCormick’s All Natural Thyme.

I had no idea that McCormick was coming out with a line of all natural spices. The new packaging for McCormick Gourmet allows for easier dispensing of spices. I can’t wait to start picking up other spices in their all natural line!

Something I really enjoy using thyme in is pasta/pizza sauce. I used to make huge batches of spaghetti sauce, but my husband doesn’t like pasta — or Italian food for that matter (I know, crazy right?) — so I stick to very small batches. All you need is 1 can of diced tomatoes and some spices. I use garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, sage, rosemary, and salt and pepper to taste.

I’m really bad at measuring ingredients when I cook. The only time I measure anything is if I’m using a recipe that isn’t my own.

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea Review — #FrostyVoxBox

One of the many amazing products I received in the new #FrostyVoxBox from Influenster is the Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea. I’m a big fan of tea (hot or cold) and I always purchase Celestial Seasonings tea. I love trying their different flavors, but I had never tried Candy Cane Lane until I received my VoxBox. This is probably my favorite product in the entire box — or closely tied with the Rimmel London makeup remover (I’ll get to that on another day).

The packet came with two tea bags and of course I had to drink it in my candy cane mug 😉

Cleaning stuffed animals — naturally.

Last Christmas, my daughter received a Leap Frog “Violet” stuffed dog for Christmas from her aunt. My daughter and Violet have been inseparable ever since. I love Violet.  She’s educational, cute, customizable — what more could you look for in a toy for your child, right? My daughter likes to use Violet as a teething ring, security blanket, napkin . . . you name it. But, Violet has one huge downside. She’s extremely difficult to clean! You can’t throw her in the washing machine or submerge her in water because her battery pack is sewn into her.

I decided to see if I could get Violet clean with a little TLC and Arm & Hammer’s baking soda. Guess what? It worked! I’ve been using this method for almost a year now and decided to share it with you all 🙂

ARM & HAMMER(TM) baking soda from Smiley 360!

Hey everyone!

I’d like to take a minute and share one of my new favorite websites with you. It’s called Smiley360 (http://h5.sml360.com/-/emmm). If you’re a member of the Influenster nation, you will love Smiley360.

Smiley360 is very similar to Influenster. You start by creating a free account. Next, you will start receiving surveys on your dashboard. Answer the questions honestly and see if you become qualified for an upcoming mission 🙂

In October I qualified for another Smiley360 mission. The mission consisted of testing 5-Hour Energy Drinks. Sadly, I could not finish the mission. I was recently diagnosed with a mitral valve disorder and given medication for the heart palpitations, so I have to stay away from energy drinks and anything that might contain high amounts of caffeine.

The current mission I’m working on is for ARM & HAMMER(TM) baking soda.
